Kevin Basketball

Kevin and his buddy Nathan practicing drills
Marcus is Kevin's coach and a great one at that!

This summer we decided to have Kevin do Basketball since we did soccer last season. It was a smart choice since it is in the airconditioned gym at one of the Middle Schools around here. Kevin seems to really be liking it. I think he likes having his best friend Nathan on his team and his Dad as the coach. I know that Scarlett and Isaac both wish they had signed up to do it now. Maybe the next sport I sign one of them up for they will all agree to do it. It is great for us cause it is just one day a week Saturday and is an hour and a half long. They practice for 45 minutes and then have a gave for 45. Then we are done. We normally end by going out to lunch afterwards to Burger King with the Kings (Nathan's family).

Cub Scout Day Camp

This week has been crazy with Cub Day camp going on. I was crazy and volunteered to help all 5 days this week. We have been getting up at 6am and getting home around 2:30. The boys are having a lot of fun, but it is a lot of work for us too. Luckily my den has a lot of parent involvment and so we have a lot of parent help. It is good and bad at times. Today it was great seeing that we had a hike and 8 adults and 10 cubs. Not to mention that Kevin has been in a wheel chair this whole week with a virus in his muscles. He will be fine it isn't anything dangerous more annoying then anything. So he has had a nice boy scout pushing him around all week and that has freed me up to be able to watch some of the more active boys. The negative is that I have had to stay with Kevin and his Den and not help Isaac and his Den. I am so glad that it is over tomorrow and Saturday we can all sleep in till at least 9! Now I just have to convince my kids to do it too.
Oh Scarlett has been having a blast in sibling camp and has been coming home dirtier then my boys. She is such a tom boy. But a cutie. Hopefully I will remember my camera and have some pictures to post tomorrow. If not I will post some soon

June Show

I thought I would highlight our past month since I am just getting started. The kids had their June show and did Amazing! Unfortunantly and Fortunantly Miss Laura their teacher and my good friend has quit teaching so the boys will stop taking tap and I am currently looking for a new studio for Scarlett to take at.

Scarlett did a tap dance to "Itsy Bitsy Tinsy Winsy Yellow Polk a Dot Bikini"

Isaac and Kevin did tap to "Your the One That I Want" from Grease. Of course they were all so great and I was so proud of them.
