LIFE

Alright so since this is my journal etc I need to write all the things that are going on right now. I feel like I am going crazy on some days.
Today was especially one I think because I was so tired and had to do cubscouts right after school with Kevin's den. Sometimes those boys are so wild (8 year olds)
Not to mention we had play practice yesterday and the kids there were hyper too. So tonight Laura and had to come up with a new plan for the rehearsals. Marcus and I joke that since Luara and I wrote the play we are only hiring with in since we are directing producing choreographing etc. We are having fun I think part of the problem is that this is our first year and I don't know if they have done a play at Cordillera in a very long time. The kids are cute and call us there drama teacher, Drama Club, Theater Club etc. We love the fact that they are talking about it to there teachers and on the playground.
Then to top it all off we are in charge of the Blue and Gold Dinner for our Pack and are planning a brunch for 300 people. I think it will turn out right sometimes it is just hard when you have to let other people help as well. Needless to say Laura and I have control issues at times and have problems deligating.
Not to be shadowed by the fact that we are incharge of the year end Carnival for the school. I am really not worried about this one yet, but I would like to have all the papers from the past people from previous years and feel like I don't have a great handle on it yet.
Then I thinking that I am super mom or something and volunteer to be incharge of Scarlett's Troop Girls Scout Cookie sales. So far this hasn't been a huge ordeal, but there is a dillema in pick up since it is the same day as our Blue and Gold and both the leaders in her troop are part of our cub scout pack too. So there is that issue. Don't forget if you want any cookies we are here!!
Oh and to make it a perfect week Laura and I (yes we are always together) had a very flakey travel agent and haven't heard from her since before Thanksgiving. We booked our trip to Disneyworld in May back in Sept and still haven't heard anything from her. So we went to our local AAA and switched agents. Guessed who called me today after months of nothing. Yes that is right the flakey travel agent. So needless to say I basically let her know that we were switching and that she had terrible customer service etc. She was really sorry and tried to get us to stay with her and oh boy I was mad. I had just spent an entire day runing errands and dealing with a group of 8 year old boys I was no mood for someone I didn't even know to try to guilt me into something. I had to get her off the phone and move on so I probably wasn't as nice as I should of been, but at this point I was done.
Well if you made it this far Thanks for listening. I feel better now that I have vented to no one in particular.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning at home. We stayed home for Santa and then went to visit with my family later during the day. It was a great day spending time together with family.

Christmas Eve Part 1 the start of the evening

We started the night off with decorating Cookies for both Santa and ourselves. The kids had a great time and there were a ton of desserts we enjoyed throughout the evening.

The left over cookies for all to enjoy after dinner Danique made a pumpkin roll it was soooooo yummy

Danique also made twirly cookies and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They too were good and we were all so impressed with the perfect twirls in the cookies Yeah Danique
First plate of cookies for Santa

Second plate of cookies with 8 kids there he was going to get a lot of cookies!!

Christmas Eve 2

We did a program after dinner. First Mike had each of us tell about our favorite Christmas and what made it so special for us. The Marcus Paxman family and The Hughes family re told the story of Jesus' birth being told to the Nephites in America. Isaac was Samuel the Lamanite and Will and Kevin and Joe were the wicked Nephites that didn't believe. Marcus and Danique were the good nephites that believed and I read the story our of the Book of Mormon. It was fun and the boys enjoyed throwing their arrows and rocks at Isaac.

The Todd Paxman family and Brittni and Sean told the story of Jesus birth from Luke. Scarlett insisted on being the sheep with the Shepard. She convinced Ally to join her. Scarlett is always the animal in the story.

This isn't the best picture, but it is the only one that had most everyone in it. With Keri being Mary riding Tyler the donkey (who had a broken arm) with baby Kat who was Baby Jesus.

I just found out on Christmas Eve that Brittni was engaged to Sean. He proposed to her at Disneyland infront of the castle. AHH what a moment. Once she is married we just have my sister Amy left and then all of us will be married. Strange it seemed like a long long time before this would happen.

Christmas Eve Part 3

Before we preformed the Births of Jesus from the Book of Mormon and the Bible Michael Todd played the piano for the cousins that were there and they sang some Christmas songs for us. It was very nice.

The kids each opened their gift from their Great Grandma Paxman who lives in Utah. They loved it and were so good watching eachother open them one at a time and then letting crazy me take pictures of each of them with their gifts after.

Grandma and Grandpa's presents under the tree. The kids had a great time finding their present under the tree.

This is what Joe did for most of the night. We tease Danique that she has three kids!! We love Joe the big Kid.

New Car

I forgot to post that we bought new car. The week of Thanksgiving or the week after I can't remember Marcus and I went and bought a new 2009 Toyota Sienna. We LOVE it! The kids love it too. I always say this, but right now I am thinking that I am never buying a new car again. This is it. Especially since we are starting to look for a house! Once this car is payed for never again. =)

Girl Scout Cookie Time

Yes it is that time of year again to start thinking of what cookies you want to buy from the Girl Scout . Scarlett is a Brownie this year and is very excited to be selling cookies. Pre orders start January 24th so if you are interested please contact me at smpax@netzero.net on or after January 24th. She is so cute she thought she was making them all for everyone.

Newport Marriott

So my grandparents have this time share that they had booked and were unable to use the entire time it was booked for. I volunteered to go and stay for the time they couldn't. The kids and Marcus and I packed up the Friday before Christmas and drove to Newport Beach (10 minutes from our house) and stayed at the time share. It was so much fun and sooo nice. We had some problems with the reservations, but all worked out and we stayed Friday till Tuesday night when my Grandparents arrived. Let me tell you they had a bath tub that was huge I was able to fill it up and the water went up to my neck and didn't go out the overflow thing. It was great. I told Marcus I want one for my house!! We did come home everyday to get things done for Christmas, but it was fun and the kids loved it. They always love staying in a hotel! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa and The Jolley's

Poetry and Pumpkin Pie

The week before Thanksgiving the 3rd grader do a program called Poetry and Pumpkin Pie. They learn some songs and perform it for the parents. After all the third graders preform they divide into their individual classes and recite the poem that they memorized for the parents. Kevin did Shell Sylversteins "I am being Eaten by a Boa Constrictor". Unfortunantly the performance was the same day as Adele's funeral and I was unable to do both. So Marcus went to the preformance and took a couple of pictures for me. He said Kevin did awesome!
